How To Light Your Home-9

We’re excited to share the news that our friends at ‘JustGreen’ have just launched their newest concept – ‘Verde Home’ in the Repulse Bay Arcade. Verde Home is both a workshop/event space and shop where you’ll find a carefully curated assortment of eye-catching pieces collected from their favourite spots in Hong Kong; predominately Bowerbird Home.

When designing the space, the owners wanted it to be functional yet feel as if you were walking into their home.  This mirrors their desire to create spaces that are natural, inviting and beautiful. In their words …

“We wanted the products selected for the space to not only look good, but also be of the highest quality.  To us, what you eat, being active and the items you choose for your home reflect the life you want to live.  We chose Bowerbird for the simple fact that all exhibit an enduring beauty and are wonderfully crafted. Finding out that Bowerbird products are ethically sourced caught our attention after the fact.  When a product is well made with classic proportions and strong character it exudes a timelessness that will truly last a lifetime.  In this sense, it automatically becomes sustainable in its own right and this is why we chose to partner with Bowerbird”.

It was the combination of variety, authenticity, flexibility and quality present in their collections that we felt would precisely infuse our workshop/event space with look and feel that Customers would instantly and easily identify; namely … a very warm invitation into our home”.

A lot of the Bowerbird pieces seen in Verde Home (which upon first glance could easily pass for a beautifully decorated living area in a high-end home), have been customised specifically for the store, or are exclusive collector’s pieces sourced from around the world.

Not only will you see some of the Bowerbird favourites (available for sale within the space), but we also got to explore our quirkier side and bring out some one-off pieces that have caught our eye on buying trips over the years.

“Those who know me, will know that I’m a collector” says Martin (director of Bowerbird Home).  “I have an extensive collection of authentic one off pieces curated from my travels around the world (some dating as far back as the 20’s), my staff always joke that I should open a museum. Some of the pieces are occasionally bought into our store to sell, but we were really excited to be able to see them be bought to life within the walls of Verde Home.”

Verde Home will be officially launching at the Repulse Bay Christmas Market on Saturday the 25th. Bowerbird will be selling some Christmas gift favourites in Verde Home on this day too. What a great excuse to see the beautiful furnishings of the soon to be popular event space, pick up some delicious treats from Just Green, and get some great homely gift options for the family (or yourself).
