Delivery & Shipping

Bowerbird Home can provide delivery for all items bought in store and online.

  • We request that someone be home to receive the goods in person, as we are unable to leave the goods at the front door without physical receipt.
  • Our team will call you in advance to confirm the delivery date and time with you.
  • On the day of the delivery, our team will call within an hour before their arrival just to confirm that someone is home to accept the goods. 
  • On arrival, our team will unpack each item and place it in the location directed. 
  • All packaging will be removed.   
  • At the time of delivery, we request that you or your representative sign our Delivery Instructions form to confirm you agree with our Delivery Instructions and are satisfied with the goods delivered.
  • Once delivery has been signed for we will not accept return of the goods.

Standard Delivery

• Delivery during working days Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
• Defined as 3-5 working days.
• Delivery hours 10am-6pm.

Urgent Delivery

• Defined as 2 working days or less. A 100% premium will be charged.

Staircase Carrying charges

  • Staircase Carrying charges will apply where items are required to be carried up or down, either inside or outside, the delivery address.
  • The cost of carrying items up or down stairs is HKD 100 per flight of stairs per item.  More than 4 steps count as one flight. 
  • Large items may be considered as two items.
  • Our delivery team will only carry furniture to a maximum of 7 floors. Carrying of items above 7 floors may require an external delivery service which the customer will be responsible for arranging.
  • If at the time of delivery, the delivery team discover that an item of furniture is not able to fit in the lift and/or the delivery team are required to carry the furniture upstairs, the delivery team will inform the customer sales team, who will then advise the customer prior to moving the item that an additional surcharge will apply.

 

Acceptance of goods after delivery

  • All items delivered shall be considered received in good condition.
  • Bowerbird Home will not bear responsibility for any damaged or missing items found after the Delivery Instructions form has been signed confirming that you are satisfied with the goods delivered.

 

 Additional Purchases or Changes to Orders 

  • Additional purchases, new sales orders or changes to orders should be made at least two working days before the scheduled delivery date. Otherwise additional delivery charges may apply.

 

Additional Delivery Surcharges 

  • If for some reason the delivery cannot occur, for example, if you are not home or if the items are too large to fit into your home, the goods will be returned to the store and an additional delivery fee may apply.
  • Oversized, extremely heavy or fragile items may cost more to ship and thus incur an additional delivery surcharge at Bowerbird Home’s discretion. 
  • In these instances, our team will contact you prior to delivery to confirm the total delivery cost.
  • If a customer cannot be reached within 24 hours prior to scheduled delivery, Bowerbird Home reserves the right to cancel or re-arrange delivery without further notice and extra charges may apply.
  • No discounts apply to service charges. Customers may pay cash to the delivery team for any additional charges that may apply due to circumstances on delivery. 
  • If our delivery truck is unable to reach the delivery address directly due to any road conditions/restrictions and/or unforeseen circumstances, requiring additional physical delivery effort between the legitimate parking area and the customers' address, additional charges may apply.
  • Delivery failure due to no one answering the door or phone upon the arrival of goods at the appointed time will require re-arrangement of the delivery and additional delivery charges will apply.
  • If the removal of gates, doors or other fixtures is required for delivery, Bowerbird Home does not bear the risk or responsibility of any damages caused.
  • Delivery does not include wall mounting goods or hanging or installing light fittings.

 

Delivery to The Outer Islands

  • Delivery will not be made to any of The Outer Islands (except Ma Wan, Discovery Bay and Tung Chung). 
  • Should deliveries be made to a quayside or pier in Hong Kong, Kowloon or the New Territories for delivery of goods to The Outer Islands, the customer is responsible for arranging sea transport and loading/unloading as well as for payment for any charges thus incurred.
  • Delivery will not be made to boats, boathouses or yachts except with prior agreement.   

 

International Deliveries

  • We can ship worldwide. Please contact our team at care@bowerbird-home.com for a quotation, allowing 5-7 working days for a response.

 

Disposal Services

  • Bowerbird Home does not offer disposal services for furniture.
